Gerardo Martinez Wins his 2nd Straight Fight

On Friday night, Phoenixville Area PAL amateur boxer, Gerardo Martinez won his second straight bout via 3rd round TKO. The 12 bout card took place at the Clarion Hotel in Essington, PA.

Martinez, 20 years old, weighed 140 lbs. defeated Nick Cicali, a 20 years old at 139 lbs. from NJ. With the win, Martinez improves to 2-3, while Cicali falls to 0-1.

PAL boxing coaches Joe Rowan, Willis Foreman, and Jimmy Deoria helped Martinez prepare for his bout. PAL boxing is open to all boys and girls between the ages of 12-21. Boxing training is Monday through Thursday between 5pm and 7pm at the Civic Center, 123 Main Street, Phoenixville.
